China Glaze Full Spectrum

Hello ladies! What a beautiful Saturday it is turning out to be in sunny Florida. I am enjoying it in my air conditioned home, so I'll let you know if the heat makes it less beautiful.

Today I feel like sharing China Glaze Full Spectrum from the Prismatic Collection. When I went to Sally's I saw these gems sitting on the shelf, untouched (who could pass them up!) and they said to me, "Take us with you." So I grabbed them. I tried out Full Spectrum first.
In this picture I am wearing two coats of Full Spectrum with two coats of Seche Vite. I wanted BLING for my high school friend's baby shower. She is having a little girl and I thought the color would  be appropriate. I got a lot of compliments on this color.

Even in shade, this color is eye catching.
There is so much to love about this color. For instance: iridescent duo chrome like you are looking inside of an oyster shell, glitter and foil finish? It's amazing, really. My only complaint is that the life of this polish does not last with my teacher life. It chipped really easily. Even with the Seche Vite. I will also layer it for now on. It was bit of a gritty finish too. But it was fun to wear as is for a special occasion.

Now I have to create fun nail art for the Bead Parade (it's a popular annual parade in the Sarasota/Bradenton area that has a much more dignified name). Like the parade name suggests, beads are thrown out by parade participants (ME!) and I want my nails looking just as great as those shiny beads.

Hugs and love,
Karen

A-England Order of the Garter

Hello ladies! Today I have for your viewing pleasure, none other than A-England's Order of the Garter. Let the photo-viewing and the drooling commence!
I could not have asked for a better first experience with the A-England brand. Order of the Garter is a rich, jewel tone blue. The depth of this color is outstanding. It is truly one of those "glows from within" polishes. Upon first glance the polish is a dark, deep midnight blue. Then when the light hits it you can see you the "glowing" lighter blue show itself. It's just amazing! And if you like to stare at the bottle before actually putting it on ( I like to study :-P ) you can see quick flashes of magenta. Although the magenta did not translate to the nail, I think that bit of color helps to make Order of the Garter such a unique and beautiful polish.

A photo with flash to show the "glow form within" blue.
The application of this polish was flawless. It literally went on like butter. The formula is smooth, and the brush is to die for in my opinion. In all of my pictures I have two coats of Order of the Garter on with a top coat of Seche Vite.

This is easily one of my top picks of blue polishes. I have received so many compliments on this color. Even my kindergarten students enjoy it. One student exclaimed that my nails are "blue like a blue M&M." That's a big deal for 6 year-old!

If you have not tried any of the A-England nail polishes then go do yourself a favor and get one! I cannot wait to add more to my collection. They are genius.

Hugs and love,
Karen

It's Here!

Hello ladies (and gents). Last Tuesday was my birthday and as my sister and I were talking about all of my wonderful birthday plans, she asked me what I would like as a present. Since my little sister is awesome, remembered that I have been dying for A-England nail polishes. And so it was that my sister ordered my very first A-England polish.

EEEEKKKK!!!! Order of the Garter is finally here! I will put up swatches ASAP. It won't be tonight though because I am going on a field trip with my  kindergarten class. We are going to a historical park and agricultural museum. Something tells me it won't be nice on my nails and I want Order of the Garter to be on my nails for a very long time!

Until then....

Hugs and love,
Karen
